Starnet worked closely with the client's business and IT teams to develop an end-to-end solution. The team defined current and future business processes and their technology implications. Starnet carried out a build versus buy analysis, package evaluation and selection, conference room pilot, process redesign and phased implementation, data migration, roll out, maintenance and production support. Integration around a best of breed retail merchandising package increased economies of scope and improved operating efficiencies.

Starnet has helped in designing, building and implementing the shop floor system for a India’s Second Largest Lignite Mining Company. The system helped incorporate Payment on Consumption (POC) to increase inventory turns and eliminate payment for bad components supplied. Under POC, payment for a component supplied by a vendor will not be made until that component gets assembled into a computer and is shipped to the customer. Further the system meets requirements of Build-To-Order or Configure-To-Order wherein the customers can specify the exact configuration of some of the products they order.
Also Different levels for Different inventory type to ensure that Inventory keeping cost would remain minimum, Maintenance Management system tightly integrated with materials management & Production data system gives real productivity data for a particular machine.
